Mr. Butterscotch

Huacaya Herdsire (Male) Light Silver Grey

AOA# 30320970 DOB: 9/15/200519 yrs
Mr. Butterscotch (AKA Scottie, or “Mister Scot” for the serious Star Trek fan) was one of those alpacas whose photo I had seen and gone, “WOW.” Well, sometimes the stars align, and now, months later, we are proud to have Scottie join our stud row. Scottie is a very light silver harlequin appaloosa. His sire was a dark harlequin son of the renowned DPA Quetzal, son of Timoteo. His dam, My Peruvian Zuleika, was a powerful producer for Magical Farms. She is also the dam of multiple-champion grey ...

Red Granites Man of Mystery

Huacaya Herdsire (Male) Medium Fawn, Light Silver Grey

AOA# 35123057 DOB: 8/9/20168 yrs
First - you have to thank Red Granite for delivering such an outstanding male Second - you have to thank Kitt Hollister for selling you her herd. And including this outstanding male. And if I could reduce the lack of hesitation in making that purchase - I could in fact reduce it to this one male. I will let Kitt explain because she has a knack for it. From Kitt: "The best way to introduce this male is using the facts. First: YES, he is a true Harlequin. His great grandsire, Black Epic, is o ...

OH MY IS THIS ONE CUTE ALPACA! Tia always draws the attention of folks at shows and visitors to the farm. She is that rare harlequin alpaca that is born with fawn fleece only to reveal lovely grey at the first shearing. She has a beautifully spotted face. Tia is full of spunk and solid as a rock. Her fleece has crimp from skin to tip. Take a look at her ARI and you will see about every color on the color card. You will also see some of the top names in the industry listed such as Snowmass Andean Bronze, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, Snowass Royal Flush and Snowmass Ovation as well as 5Peruvian Silverado on her dams side. The sire's side brings in PPeruvian Timoteo, PPPeruvian Cornus, DPA Quetzal, My Peruvian Zuleika, Mr. Butterscoth and Zephyrus as well as PPeruvian Pluro. Really a genetic powerhouse.
When we attended the Magical Farms sale each year our daughter would spy the cutest leopard spotted cria in the pasture and beg us to buy it. Year after year the pairing of Quetzal and Zuleika produced these lovely cria. Tia is a descendant of that pairing and we jumped at the chance to bring her to our farm. She is co-owned with our daughter.

Tia just keeps knocking it out of the park!
She has delivered one stellar cria after another.

So far she has delivered a harlequin, a pinto, a solid black and a fawn with black points. All have had lovely fleece.

Tia has definitely earned her place as one of our top dams on the farm.

Tia has now been bred to Red Granites Man of Mystery!! Thanks to Ann?ie Hunt for allowing us to breed to him.
We expect an extremely dense cria with tons of architecture to its fleece!
To say we are excited for this cria would be an understatement!!

Wow!! Tia has delivered a gorgeous 20 pound female from her pairing with Man of Mystery!! This gal will be one to keep an eye on if you have a pattern or harlequin breeder. She is fawn but has lighter fawn spots. Could she be a light harlequin like her daddy? With 2 harlequin parents could she be homozygous? Love, Love this cria!!
Thank you Tia for continuing to give us beautiful cria!!
