We are very excited to bring Tank to our farm! We are expanding our harlequin program and we think he will do wonderful things for us.
This is what his previous owners Annie Hunt and Vickie Sutton had to say about Tank;
When you have a harlequin born out of two harlequins....
You ask yourself - could he be homozygous?
Why do we care?
IF you have a homozygous harley (or appy for that matter)(meaning both harlequin parents threw that gene) then whoever you breed that animal to - the outcome will ALWAYS carry and most of the time express that gene. Its highly advantageous. Ultimate flexibility in terms of pairing. And a fairly reliable outcome.
Hence homozygous harleys are highly sought after. As are homozygous appies.
Tank
Who was literally a monster when born. LOL
We gave him the nickname Tank early on but as time went on - it fit. So we made it official.
Strong healthy robust youngster.
And a well conformed gorgeous male as an adult.
Tank just showed at NWSS and got a first place. The judge loved him for his overall appeal but also his consistency and density in his fleece.
We love him as well.
Both of his parents are noteworthy harleys.
BHAR Camoflage has a zillion fleece accolades to his name.
Limestone Creeks Cloudburst hails from some amazing genetic powerhouses herself. Her sire is Ringo Cloud; a well known Fawn Multi Champion from the "cloud" line.
Tank has some amazing potential.
We think so too!! We have some dates lined up for him later this summer. We will open him up to outside breedings late summer early fall 2023. Get on his date card now and improve your chances for harlequin offspring!
